The therapeutic process can be overwhelming and exhausting – but I want to walk alongside you in it. I understand first-hand how difficult it is to feel ‘other’ because of various aspects of identity, and it is important to me to acknowledge the way structural oppression impacts our experiences. I take care to provide an inclusive and open environment where clients can feel accepted and able to talk about a variety of issues regardless of how they identify. I work in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive way, grounded in my own experiences and axis of difference.
I draw upon the concepts of attachment theory, trauma-informed care, somatic work, neuroscience, and developmental psychology, ensuring my work is grounded in clinical research and practice. I seek to create a space to breathe and regulate amidst the chaos of day-to-day life, where for 50 minutes, you can focus purely on yourself.
I have an MA in Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy, training at Terapia, a therapeutic centre accredited by Middlesex University. I have previously worked therapeutically with children and young people and adults in schools and community settings.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (membership number: 01002153, register number: 413586), and an accredited member of UKCP (membership number: 2011186385)
